Opera for all

Community life

Back to list
The Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège endeavours to be resolutely open and unifying. This is why our social cohesion policy aims to facilitate, encourage and develop access to opera for all, regardless of their socio-cultural background.

Genuinely opening the doors is to ensure that anyone who wants it – whatever its horizon or course – will be able to draw, in the Opera, pleasure, openness and artistic sensitivity.

For individual spectators

The Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège makes places available at its performances for people in social or economic hardship that benefit from the Article 27 coupons scheme.

Bookings open one month before the performance (see the brochure on www.article27.be)

For groups supervised by social worker

A wide range of activities are organised in collaboration with the social sector (neighbourhood case workers, CPAS, Article 27, migrant assistance centres, etc.).

  • Open rehearsals
  • Guided tours
  • Activities adapted to beneficiaries…

Special programme for social workers and bookings from September.
